Tommy Tanski played Little League from 1999-2005, and during that time played for two district All Star Teams. He also played for the Simsbury Strikers soccer team. Tommy was a tremendous person and teammate. He understood at an early age that his contribution was more about the team than about himself. He died in a car accident in 2011 at the age of 17. Each year the Simsbury Connecticut Little League offers four scholarships in memory of Tommy to current Simsbury high school seniors who participate in the town’s baseball or softball Little League program.

Simsbury resident and former SLL and Babe Ruth baseball coach, Craig Ahrens recently published “No Bad Team,” a business fable for managers and players in business and in sports. The Tommy Tanski Fund will receive 100% of the royalties on book sales through September 1st.
